movies, Nic Cage

Chancing The Sludge For Genius.

Manohla Dargis asks the essential Nic Cage question: Is there a method to his madness?

She observes,

What makes Mr. Cage such an unusual screen presence and an even more atypical movie star is that he’s habitually very good and very bad from movie to movie, and sometimes scene to scene in a single film.

But Voreblog readers knew this a long time ago.

Speaking of Nic Cage, you may have heard that he’s had some financial difficulties recently. Unlike the rest of us, his are the result of outbidding Leonardo DiCaprio for a $276,000 dinosaur skull.

Way to go, Nic!

      1. I’m low on ideas, but I’m going to need one tomorrow. Just off the top of my head:

        -Favorite bad movies
-Famous actor that would play you in the movie of your life
-Why Pittsburgh Steelers fans are awful
-Would you rather: Lorelai or Rory (and why)

  1. Andrew I don’t know if this supports your argument or not, and I’m conflicted as a Steeler fan (who doesn’t suck) whether or not to share it. But I feel your pain on not liking your job and if this doesn’t make you laugh and keep you entertained for a few minutes I don’t know what will.

  2. oh voreblog if only it took real research skills (which I should technically be applying to my job) to find this jem. In reality it was forwarded to me no less than 5 times during the NFL playoffs last year.

  3. Perhaps that clip is old hat to those in the inner sanctum of Steeler Nation, but that’s territory we’ve long feared to tread.
